A lava lamp is a decorative light that uses heat to move wax blobs up and down inside a glass container filled with colored liquid.
How it works
A light bulb at the base heats a wax-like substance inside a liquid-filled glass container.
As the wax warms, it becomes less dense and rises, then cools at the top, becomes denser, and sinks.
